Cator Hawkins provides training, consultancy and practical support in Management, Technical Authorship and Process Engineering. Established in 2005, Cator Hawkins can provide its range of services in-house and at your place of work.

 

Management

We provide interim managers to meet a variety of needs covering general management, sales, human resources, health and safety and operations.

Our management training courses can be customised to meet specific needs and are usually delivered in half day sessions.  Our courses have been described as high impact and achieve results.  Our dynamic approach is not for the feint hearted!

 

Technical Authorship

We provide technical authors who provide information targeted at the intended readership.  We take pride in the variety of work we have undertaken from policy and procedure writing (no policy or procedure should be more than 2 pages), through to complete suites of manuals covering anything from power stations to aircraft.

We also provide technical writing training.  This course is proving particularly popular with organisations who's policies and procedures need significant revision.  By training people to write, ambiguity and superfluous information are effectively a thing of the past!

 

Process Engineering

Are your processes and procedures fit for purpose?  Are they being followed?  Can you provide evidence that they are?

In many cases clients have told us that they want to develop new procedures and policies because the ones they have are not working.  Often, such documents are verbose, several pages in duration, have never been implemented correctly and therefore there is no evidence that they have ever been monitored and maintained.  It is not unusual to find that the information needed is included in such documents - just that the information is difficult to retrieve and understand.  Sometimes new documents and processes are needed - more often they just need to be re-written to meet the needs of the users.
